Snyder Enjoys Meeting New People Through Volunteerism With Chamber

A Waukee resident who can often be seen snapping photos of the many community events she attends was one of two people honored as the Ambassador of the Year last month by the Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce.

in town, received the honor at the year-end banquet along with Erna Morain.

Snyder has been involved with the Waukee Chamber since about 1999 and touts the organization as the strength of the local business community.

She finds it rewarding "meeting new people and talking with other people that you do not get to see very often."

The many hours she puts into the chamber are enjoyable, Snyder said.

"I was honored that I was recognized for the volunteer work, however, award or not, I would do the same thing," she said.

The Member of the Year award went to Dave Milburn of Triplett, Pieathlon and iapps24.
