Tasty Treats: Find Out What's Cookin' in Waukee Today

The Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce is offering residents a taste of the local business community at the first What's Cookin' in Waukee business expo and tasting experience.

The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today, April 4, at the Waukee Prairieview Commons, 655 S.E. University Ave.

Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce member businesses will host booths highlighting what is going on within their business, as well as offer food tastings. Some of the tastings include pulled pork, chicken wings, pepper pot soup, gumbo, steak, pizza, scotcheroos, ice cream, cookies, chocolate fountain, truffles, lemon bars, Coca-Cola, coffee and more, said Melinda Behn, executive director of the chamber.

Waukee Patch will have a table, so stop by to say hello.
