Teens Charged With Having Marijuana in Car: Waukee Police Reports

April 13

Sophie Hayek, 24, of 1442 57th Place, Des Moines, was arrested at the intersection of Ute Avenue and 312th Place and charged with OWI.

Marilyn Piper of 706 N. David St., Bloomfield, reported a burglary to a vehicle in the 800 block of Southeast Brentwood Drive. Items taken were valued at $530; police didn't have a list of items taken at this time.

Sandy Duncan of Waukee reported vandalism to a vehicle, the passenger side mirror was broken off. Damage was estimated at $195.

April 14

During a traffic stop at the intersection of Southeast Boone Drive and Southeast Olson Drive, a 15-year-old from West Des Moines and a 14-year-old from West Des Moines were charged with possession of marijuana.
