For every test drive taken, Ford Motor Company and Stivers Ford Lincoln will donate $20 to the Waukee High School band. Plus, an additional test drive of a 2013 Ford Escape will generate another $10 donation -- limit one per household.

The event will be held rain or shine this Saturday, Oct. 13, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the southwest parking lot of Waukee Stadium, in conjunction with the State Band Marching festival at Waukee Stadium. Each test drive will last between seven and 10 minutes, and all drivers must 18 years old or older.

Several vehicles, including Ford's Mustang GT, the Ford F150, the Ford Explorer, and the new 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid, will be available to test drive.

In total, the community can help raise up to $8,000 forΒ WaukeeΒ High School.

Every year, more and more arts, music and sports programs are cut due to budgetary constraints. This fundraising event is a unique way to fill some of those financial gaps, said Scott Politte of Stivers Ford in a news release.

To date, Ford dealerships and local communities across the country have helped raised more than $11 million for high schools through theΒ Drive 4 UR SchoolΒ program.
