Traffic Charges, Car in Ditch and Attempted Burglary: Waukee Police Blotter

Police responded to an attempted burglary at a construction site and a motorist whose vehicle slid into the ditch in the past week. Check out today's Waukee Police reports.

Dec. 17

Shelby Pierson, 27, of Des Moines was arrested at the intersection of Sixth and Walnut streets and charged with driving while her license is suspended.

Dec. 18

Rollie Robbins of Grimes reported an attempted burglary to a construction trailer in the 800 block of Southeast Pleasant View Drive. Nothing was taken.

Dec. 19

A vehicle driven by Emily Steele of West Des Moines was reportedly backing out of a parking space in the 100 block of Southeast Laurel Street when it struck a vehicle driven by Betty Morris of Waukee. Vehicle damage was estimated at $2,500.

A vehicle driven by John Loffredo of West Des Moines was westbound in the 32000 block of Ashworth Road and because the road was covered with snow the vehicle slid into the south ditch. Damage was estimated at $1,400.
