Veterans Ball Honors Those Who Have Served
Join in a night of live music, food and dancing at a Veterans Ball hosted by The Village at Legacy Pointe retirement community of Waukee.
Veterans and their guests are welcome to join a night of live music, food and dancing at a Veterans Ball on Thursday, November 13, 5 – 7 p.m., hosted by The Village at Legacy Pointe retirement community of Waukee.
Guests can tap their feet or take to the dance floor as the John Morgan Big Band of West Des Moines performs a variety of instrumental music, featuring a saxophone, trumpet, trombone, rhythm-section piano, bass and drums.
Glazed ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables and apple pie will be served. A photo opportunity is also available for those who dress up for the event.

“We’re very excited — as are our residents — for a night of celebration, remembrance and just plain fun,” said Tammy Olson, Executive Director at The Village at Legacy Pointe. “We see this as a small expression of our appreciation for those who served that we honor and value their contributions.”
