Waukee Boys' Swimmers Improve Record to 3-1
The Warriors had dual wins over Des Moines Lincoln and Newton last week, and then won the Boone Invite. Next up is Johnston at home on Thursday.

The Waukee Warriors boys' swim team improved to an overall record of 2-1 with quality wins over Des Moines Lincoln and Newton in a double dual on Thursday, Nov. 29. The Warriors won every event except the 200 free and 100 fly, but had a tremendous showing swimming mainly off events throughout the night.
The Boone Invite was then a very quick turnaround against some worthy opponents on Saturday. The Invite is a relays format with the normal relays and then each individual race is a two-man relay.

"The boys had a lot of great times and we really came together as a team to show our strength and depth. The boys had a smaller practice before we left for this meet and not only swam well for this meet, but are getting in some quality yards for the season goals as well."
The Warriors host Johnston on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the Waukee Family YMCA and are at Des Moines Hoover for the Husky-Bear Invite on Saturday.
"It will be another test on Thursday with the returning third-ranked team from last year's state performance. Coach Walling always has her team in great shape for the beginning of the season. They lost some key guys to their lineup, but their team also has a lot of depth and speed. They look to be the early favorites to win the team title with the times already posted."
