The group first reviewed right-of-way management and debris management with the concept of adding additional areas for review each year. Organizations that signed onto the initiative approved a resolution to support local government collaboration; to review a copy of the resolution as approved by the Waukee City Council, go to the city's website.

The Taxpayers Association of Central Iowa exists to foster more efficient and effective local government in the Greater Des Moines area through independent research, education, advocacy and community leadership. In doing so, the organization contributes to a strong quality of life at an affordable cost.
