Waukee Fire Department Holds Pancake Breakfast
Biannual fundraising event shows off equipment
For a few hours on Saturday morning, the Waukee fire station resembled a cafeteria, with smells of hot pancakes and sausages filling the air.
The biannual pancake breakfast gave the public an opportunity to check out some of the equipment which was purchased through donations.
In addition to the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, the open house included tours of the station, fire demonstrations, and activities for children.
