Waukee Library Summer Reading Programs Served 1,164 Participants Through Online Platform
Staff will distribute 800 award books via curbside pick-up to participants during the month of August.

The Waukee Public Library’s online Summer Reading Program wrapped up on July 31 with success. There were 654 children, 192 teens and 318 adults who participated in the program this June and July. Staff will distribute 800 award books via curbside pick-up to participants during the month of August.

The library also continues to serve a lot of users via its online hold/curbside pick-up program; staff delivers more than 80 pick-ups per day. In total in the months of June and July, more than 8,000 books were checked out to approximately 1,500 patrons.
As a reminder, the new two-way driveway at the library is now open. This is where patrons should enter for curbside pick-up. This driveway will also get drivers to the book/materials return boxes, which are now again open 24/7. Please follow posted signs.
