Waukee Police Blotter: Three Waukee High School Students Arrested Jan. 18

Waukee Police responded to an unusually high number of car accidents last week.

Three Waukee High School Students Charged with Possession

On Jan. 18, an anonymous caller told Waukee dispatch of three boys passing an unidentified pipe around the inside of a vehicle at the intersection of Alice's Road and Southeast Olson Drive.

The driver, a 16 year-old male, was charged with operating while intoxicated (first offense) as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

Two other 17 year-old males were also charged with drug paraphernalia.

All three juveniles were released to their parents and will appear in juvenile court. All three were students at Waukee High School.

Jan. 17

A vehicle driven by Susan Grupp of Urbandale was struck by a vehicle driven by Esther Vuong of West Des Moines. Vehicle damage was estimated at $2,100. Vuong was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

A vehicle driven by Todd Reynolds of Waukee was struck by a vehicle driven by Velma Roberts of Adel. Vehicle damage was estimated at $3,000.

A vehicle driven by John Diercks of West Des Moines struck a vehicle driven by Sara Letsch of Boone. Vehicle damage was estimated at $400.

A vehicle driven by Michael Pauk of Waukee was struck by a vehicle driven by Fernando Murueta-Espinoza of Des Moines. Vehicle damage was estimated at $2,500.

Jan. 18

An employee of Kenny's Pub of Waukee reported a theft in the 600 block of Ashworth Drive.

Andrew Wilson, 21, of Waukee was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for failure to appear.

Jan. 20

Lee Cochran, 41, of Ankeny was charged with public intoxication.

A vehicle driven by Alec Craigmile of Adel slid off the road due to slick road conditions. Vehicle damage was estimated at $3,000.

Jan. 21

A vehicle driven by Richard Applegate of Waukee struck a vehicle driven by Amanda Mitchell of Greenfield. Vehicle damage was estimated at $9,000. Applegate was cited with failure to yield the right of way.

Jan. 22

Travis Bergeson, 30, of Waukee was charged with domestic assault.

Sean Diemer of West Des Moines lost control of his vehicle and struck a green electrical box. Vehicle damage was estimated at $300.
