Breast Cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the breast. One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime; it's rare, but men are also diagnosed with this disease. Susan G. Komen Greater Iowa is an organization that raises money to help fund Breast Cancer research, education, screening and treatment by holding its annual MORE THAN PINK walk (formerly Race for the Cure). This year's virtual walk will be held Saturday, Oct. 24.
The Waukee Police Department thanks all who are able to support this cause!
