“This is an exciting time for the Waukee community and our school district,” says Kirk Johnson, COO of Waukee CSD. “There is significant population growth on the northwest side of the city and these facilities will serve thousands of students in years to come. We hope it’s a pillar in the city’s expansion.”

The names of the new schools have yet to be announced, but will join South Middle School and Waukee Middle School (6-7 grades), Prairieview and Timberline (8-9 grades).

The site will also feature a natatorium, a track and field complex and a baseball and softball complex.
