The anti-cancer event by the Waukee High School boys' swim team will take place at Thursday's home meet. Businesses can sponsor events and spectators can buy rubber ducks to support the cause.

The Waukee High School boys' swim team will hold its first Swim for the Cure meet on Thursday Jan. 10 during the home meet against Southeast Polk, according to a news release.
The meet starts at 5 p.m. at the Waukee Family YMCA, 210 N. Warrior Lane.
Although this is only third year for the Waukee High School swimming program, the boys' team is currently ranked seventh in the state with all three relays and numerous events in the top 24, according to the school district website.
