$1,000 Reward Offered to Help Solve Counterfeit Bill Case: Police Blotter
West Des Moines Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man and a woman who allegedly used a phony $100 bill at Kohl's.
A $1,000 reward is being offered to help identify and prosecute a man and woman believed to have used a counterfeit $100 bill at Kohl's, 6515 Mills Civic Parkway, according to a news release.
Surveillance photos show two people whom police say arrived at together in a silver sedan at about 3 p.m. on Aug. 21. The man reportedly used a phony $100 bill to purchase a small item and the two left together, police said.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the West Des Moines Police Department at 222-3357 or Polk County Crime Stoppers at 223-1400.
