The Iowa Senior Olympics took place at a variety of venues in the Des Moines area on May 31 and June 1 and from June 13 to 16. Among the events were the Steve Lynn Memorial Track and Field competition at Valley High School, named in memory of the late director of the Iowa Senior Olympics; horseshoe pitching, tennis, table tennis, Scrabble and basketball.
