Kum & Go Celebrates Expansion in Waukee

Kum & Go, L.C. held a ribbon cutting March 1 to celebrate the opening of its newest store in Waukee. The 5,000-square-foot store, located at 400 Prairie Bluff Drive, offers a wide variety of fresh food, multiple fueling stations and has earned LEED certification.

“As a Waukee resident, I have personally witnessed how important this community has been to the success of Kum & Go,” said Kum & Go President and CEO Kyle Krause. “I am thankful for the great team of people who worked hard to make this happen. “

The new store was built to replace the original Kum & Go located across the interstate. The new location allowed Kum & Go to increase the square footage and provide customers with more features and selections, including expanded food and beverage options.

“Kum & Go had record growth in 2012 with 43 new stores going up in seven states,” said Krause. “We appreciate of the community support that we receive and are committed to giving back in all of our communities, including sharing 10 percent of our profits to educational and charitable causes each year.”
