This is a fast, convenient, and fun way to donate some much needed items to West Des Moines Human Services. Hy-Vee will designate check-out lanes for the mob shoppers, so you can grab a few items and be in-and-out or do your regular shopping and let the cashier know which items you’re donating.
Now that holiday donations have slowed, it’s time to help re-stock those shelves with some of the items Human Services is currently most in need of – healthy breakfast items for kids and personal pantry items.
The mob will gather just inside the east entrance to the store. Upon arrival, shoppers will receive a list and a shopping bag to collect items. Buy one item or fill up your cart – any level of donation is appreciated! Although the mob will take off shortly after 5:30, donations will be accepted throughout the night as Human Services will be present to collect and transport the items purchased.
The event features students from Valley High School who will provide a musical backdrop for the shopping adventure.
