Join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa for the grand opening and ribbon cutting for the Bernie & Berniece Baker Boys & Girls Club at Amos Hiatt Middle School! The ribbon cutting will take place at 3:30pm followed by a neighborhood celebration with live music, food, carnival games and inflatables. This event is free and open to the public!
With the mission "to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens," Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa (BGCCI) provides youth with research-based programs that focus on education, healthy lifestyles, and character and leadership development.
The new Baker Club will allow BGCCI to reach 50 more youth each day in addition to the 385 kids and teens currently served each day at its three other Des Moines area Clubs.
