Baker Moves from Home Kitchen to Jordan Creek Town Center Kiosk Nov. 1

Kiosk will be the baker's only storefront in Central Iowa

A news release:

Fans of a popular Grimes-based cake maker will now have a place to go to get their fill of the baker’s flavorful cupcakes.

LIVE LOVE BAKE will open a kiosk in the Jordan Creek Town Center in West Des Moines on Friday, Nov. 1. The stall will be located on the lower level near Younkers in front of francesca’s.

LIVE LOVE BAKE will feature its signature cupcakes in 15 to 20 different flavors and themes. Cupcakes can purchased in boxes of 4 or 12, as well as in singles.

The kiosk is owned and operated by Lindsay Holdorf, 33, of Grimes who’s been designing and baking cakes out of her home since 2009. She says she started LIVE LOVE BAKE after finding that baking was more than just a creative outlet.

“I started off doing birthday cakes for kids and it just developed from there,” she said. “Pretty soon we were doing weddings too,  and I just realized it was full speed ahead from there.”

Holdorf says while the LIVE LOVE BAKE kiosk will focus mostly on cupcakes, she will continue to take custom cake orders for birthdays, weddings and other special events through her website at www.livelovebake.com.

“I’ve always loved baking and cupcakes are a particular favorite of mine,” said Holdorf. “They’re fun to make and all the different flavors are great. It’s something whimsical to look at it but it’s also something good to eat.”
