On Friday, June 7 from 4 – 7pm the residents at Edgewater –
A WesleyLife Active Living Community will host a “Blast from the Past”
fundraising event to benefit the Edgewater Good Samaritan Fund which supports
the cost of care for those residents who outlive their financial resources –
ensuring they always have a home.
The event is free to attend and will feature antique cars
from the Des Moines antique car club as well as an antique fire truck that was
one of the first fire trucks purchased by the City of West Des Moines in the
early 1900s. Donations will be accepted at the event for professional photos to
be taken with the antique vehicles as well as rides on the old fire truck.
Complimentary beverages including wine and beer and “blast
from the past” themed treats created by the WesleyLife dinning team will be
available. This event is open to the public.
