2013 Drake Relays Parade

Happy 2013 Drake Relays week! To kick off the Relays, we participated in the Drake Relays Parade yesterday. The weather was ideal for a parade– lots of sunshine! We had the highest number of participants- Community-Based matches, Bigs at Drake and staff walked in the parade. Bigs at Drake is a student group at Drake University, and it is composed of students who are mentors in our School-Based Mentoring program. The parade was great exposure for Big Brothers Big Sisters; we got to reach an audience who may not have known about us. We were even featured on KCCI, Channel 8. Check out more photos of the parade from the Des Moines Register (see photo #25– our banner is in it).
