It's Time for Adopt-A-Family!

During the holiday season, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa tries to give back to its Littles and their families through our “Adopt-A-Family” program. Around 70 families are picked each year with the chance of being “adopted” by a family, business, community organization or individual for the holidays.

Each family is chosen based on need and is asked to fill out a wish list. Last year, we had many families requesting just the basics – blankets, coats, gloves, shoes and event cleaning supplies. We then seek out donors to adopt these families.

Donors specify how big of a family they are able to adopt and we will match your needs as close as possible. Donors are asked to fill out our Commitment Form by Friday, November 16 so we can inform the families who have been adopted and those who unfortunately haven’t. Donors are given the wish lists and asked to deliver the gifts, unwrapped to our office in Clive, by Thursday, December 13 at the very latest.
