Join Us for 2013 Bowl for Kids' Sake!

While some people count down the days until Thanksgiving and Christmas, we eagerly wait for 2013 Bowl for Kids' Sake, our signature fundraising event, to kick-off.             

This event is a fun and easy way to help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa. Whether you bowl or make a donation, you will make a positive, long-lasting impact on children in our community.         

Because of Bowl for Kids' Sake, more Bigs and Littles can be paired up, more friendships can be created and improved outlooks on life can be started.

We’re excited to announce the dates for this year’s event at Plaza Lanes:

· February 7-9, 14-16, and 28

· March 1, 7 and 8

Get Involved!                                                                                         

It's easy to get started as a bowler!

1. Start a team. Teams are formed with five or six members. Consider creating a team with family, friends, fraternity brothers, sorority sisters, or co-workers.

2. Register your team. Just click the "Register Now" button at the top of our Bowl for Kids’ Sake web site and tell us a little bit about yourself. Personalize a fundraising page that's been set up just for you.

3. Spread the word! Send out e-mails or fundraise with Facebook and Twitter. Aim high! Most people raise about $125 but top fundraisers raise over $2,500.

Want to know the best part? All of the event expenses are completely underwritten by our corporate sponsors. That means 100% of the money raised by bowlers goes directly towards supporting children served by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa in our community.

4. Come bowling! After you have secured your sponsorships, it’s time to have fun! Join us at the Plaza Lanes to celebrate your fundraising success!

You'll receive two free games of bowling (shoe and ball rental included!), a Bowl for Kids' Sake t-shirt, food, drinks, and chances to win door prizes!
