Overwhelmed with Elder Issues, Downsizing, Care? I'm Here to Help! (Blog)

It is with pleasure that I introduce myself to you and hope to be a valuable resource for you. My name is Barb Dales and I wear two hats...one as a Realtor for Iowa Realty (I am a Seniors Real Estate Specialist) and the other as the owner of Iowa Elder Care Management, LLC.

I have combined these services and call it DesMoinesConnections.com. I have gathered a fine team of folks to help me provide you the following:

• Getting a home ready to sell
• Downsizing, uncluttering, cleaning up the yard, going through precious things and keeping the best, selling the rest or donating
• Selling you or your loved one's home (I am licensed to sell real estate in Iowa)
• Moving Coordination: sorting, packing, moving, unpacking
• Finding/buying an appropriate new home, whether it's a single level house, assisted living, an active adult community or long term care.
• Follow-up services may include: housekeeping, transporation, laundry services, doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, medication assistance, companion or nursing care, handyman services and many more!

You are welcome to combine any or all of what I can do for you. If you just need to sell or buy a home, call me. If you need help relocating a loved one or yourself, call me. If you need on-going assistance to keep you or your elderly person happy and safe, please call me.

I plan on doing regular blogs in Patch regarding the needs of the over 50+ crowd. I'm hoping that you will find them worthwhile.

• Licensed to sell real estate in the State of Iowa
• Associate Geriatric Care Manager through the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers
• Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Experienced Social Worker with long term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, and hospice situations
• Member of the Downtown Des Moines Chamber of Commerce

I personally know how stressful all of these issues can be. You may be very busy with your own job, family and life in general. Maybe you live out of town from your elderly Mom or Dad and need someone you can count on here to take good care of them. Please call me.
