Republicans: "We don't need no stinking copyright laws.."
Brief update on proposed changes to copyright laws that could effect all that download music and all that hope to profit from the music they created.
Republicans are right: copyright law was not designed for the purpose of guaranteeing profit to the copyright holders.
Republicans are wrong: copyright law was designed to make sure copyright holders were encouraged to produce more by guaranteeing them any compensation due.
