I know it's not easy. I personally take care of my Dad. He's an awesome man who is almost 92 years old, blind, wears hearing aides and is a WWII Vet. We live together. I know how all-consuming caregiving duties are.

Taking care of my folks (and many others!) is one reason why I started Iowa Elder Care Management, LLC. and why I combined it with my real estate business at Keller Williams Realty. Having also been a social services, marketing and admissions director at a long term care/assisted living facility in Arizona, I understand how stressful changing living arrangements can be.

As a Realtor (Associate Broker at Keller Williams serving the Greater Des Moines area), I can put your Mom or Dad's house on the market at a good price to give you the best sale outcome. With respect to Iowa Elder Care Management, I can help make arrangments for downsizing, packing, moving coordination, finding just the right place to live (smaller home, active community, assisted living, long term care, hospice), get them unpacked and settled. 

I offer a continuum of care and can follow your Mom or Dad wherever they might be. As a Certified Pharmacy Tech, I can assist with setting up and supervising their med boxes (I can't change meds, but can make sure they are taking them as prescribed). I can do or arrange for companion visits, be there for emergencies and be your direct line to the home in which they are living and follow their care.

Or, your Mom or Dad may want to stay in their home. I can assist with that, too, and provide an informative assessment as to what care might be necessary to do that.
