Volunteer at the Hy-Vee Fishing Derby this Saturday!

Do you love fishing and helping others? If so, we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you, the Hy-Vee Fishing Derby. This event is this Saturday at Water Works Park from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children up to the age of 15 have the opportunity to fish and win prizes. This free event draws a large crowd - expected visitor attendance is 30,000 this year! 

We would love for you to volunteer with us! Make it a bonding experience and volunteer with friends, co-workers or family. We need volunteers to help with parking, park clean up, handing out t-shirts, helping kids with bait, plus more. Funds raised from this event go directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa’s mentoring programs. These funds allow us to make more life-changing matches between Bigs and Littles. Children’s lives are changed for the better, forever.
