Carter’s, One of the Oldest Names in Baby Clothing, Opens Store in West Des Moines

Carter’s, which has been outfitting newborns and toddlers since 1865, has opened a store in the Galleria at Jordan Creek in West Des Moines.

The store opened on Valentine’s Day, the Des Moines Register reported.

Inventory includes clothing in sizes preemie to Size 7 for boys and 6x for girls. Amanda Crosser is the store manager.

Carter’s is the largest brand marketer of children’s clothing in the United States, marketing apparel under two of the most recognized and enduring brands in the nation, Carter’s and OshKosh B’gosh. according to the company’s web site.

The only other Carter’s store is in Williamsburg at Tanger Outlet Mall, though neither the Williamsburg or new West Des Moines store is considered an outlet store, Crosser told the newspaper.
