McCoy to Host First in Series of ‘Coffee With The Councilman’ Events

Clive, IA – Jan. 23, 2014 – Clive City Councilman Michael McCoy, along with special guests Clive City Councilman Ted Weaver and Iowa State Representative Rob Taylor, will be holding an informal get together on Saturday, February 1st.

“As promised, I will be holding quarterly listening events. I’m inviting Clive citizens to join me for the first of four “Coffee with the Councilman” social functions scheduled for 2014. Each quarter I will be inviting different elected officials to join us,” says McCoy.

The purpose of these events is to listen to the issues that concern residents of Clive and provide easier access to public servants.

McCoy further states, “The best way to accomplish this is simply by meeting people – face to face. Elected officials can be hard to reach and people might feel like they don’t get a chance to really be heard. I want to change that.”

The first event is scheduled for Saturday, February 1st at 9:00 a.m. in the Clive Aquatics Center Special Events Building, 1801 N.W. 114th St., Clive, IA 50325.
