Concert of French music

Join us for a
great afternoon of French music as performed by musicians of Faith Lutheran
Church and the Des Moines area on Sunday afternoon, October 13, at 4 p.m. The
concert will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 10395 University Avenue, Clive,
Iowa.



 



The concert
will feature the choral and instrumental music of Marc-Antoine Charpentier,
Jean Philippe Rameau, Jean Baptiste Lully and 20th century French
composer Claude Debussy. A reception will follow the concert in the church
lobby.

To get to
Faith Lutheran Church, located in the western part of the Des Moines area, take
Interstate 235 to the Valley West Drive exit. Go north on Valley West Drive to
University Avenue. Go west on University Avenue past the K-Mart Store. Faith
Lutheran Church is on the north side of University by the Clive water tower.

The program is
sponsored by Soli deo Musica, the fine arts series of Faith Lutheran Church.
Other programs this year include a holiday concert of music from Latin America
on December 6, organist Dr. Craig Cramer on February 23rd, and Cantata
#4 by J. S. Bach, “Christ lag in Todes Banden”, on April 18th.
