ENCORE: Did Allegedly Drunk Man Tossing Furniture on West Des Moines Patio Over-Shoot His Mark?

Police say man had "no sense of his location."

The only thing for certain about a recent disturbance at a West Des Moines is that there’s no “92nd and Dodge Street” anywhere in the metro area.

There is a 92nd and Dodge Street in Omaha, NE. The intersection is similar to some West Des Moines neighborhoods with high-quality office space and upscale businesses. And it’s where a man said he “needed to get to” when were called to a condominium on Beechtree Drive shortly before 3 a.m. on June 2.

The woman who lives there told police that a drunk man she didn’t know was on her patio throwing her patio furniture around, screaming, and pounding on the door and yelling to come in, according to Officer Aaron Swenson’s account of the disturbance. She told him she’d called the police, but he continued to try to enter her residence.

When Swenson arrived, he saw the man on the south side of the building and he identified himself as Michael Lynn Bracker, 25, of Denver, CO.

Swenson reported that he asked Bracker if he had thrown the patio furniture, which had been found in nearby bushes, and he denied involvement, saying that he had been with about 20 other people instead. He wrote that Bracker had no sense of his location. He reportedly told Swenson that he is not from here, but “needed to get to 92nd and Dodge.”

Bracker was charged with public intoxication.
