Dowling Catholic Wins Over Johnston at Drake Stadium

Dowling won its final home game of the regular football season 27-14 over Johnston at Drake Stadium Friday nigh.

After dropping two games early in the season, including the home opener to crosstown rival , 28-21, the  football team is on a roll. 

The defending Class 4A state champs are a very different team this year, with only five starters returning from last year's squad. 

Dowling is now a solid 6-2 on the season following Friday night's 27-14 defeat of Johnston.
