Dozens of Butterflies will be Released in Hospice Group's Memorial Service

For 35 years, HCI Hospice Care Services, formerly known as Hospice of Central Iowa, has provided comfort, dignity, and peace of mind for those facing serious illnesses.

A news release from HCI Hospice Care Services:

HCI Hospice Care Services (formerly Hospice of Central Iowa) will host a Butterfly Release Memorial Service Monday, Aug. 19, from 3-4:30 p.m. at HCI Care Services’ Bright Center, located at 401 Railroad Place in West Des Moines (in Valley Junction).

More than 70 people plan to attend the event, which will begin with a brief indoor memorial service and candle-lighting ceremony featuring special readings and harp music.  The event will then move outdoors to the large gazebo (next to the red caboose), where dozens of butterflies will be released.  Following the release, refreshments will be served indoors.
