Her blog is read by about 2 million people, according to the Iowa Soybean Association, which is among the organizations partnering with Porter on Join My Journey to trace food from its origins to some of the great restaurants found around Iowa.

Finally, sign up for the Fourth Annual Remembrance Run to be held Sunday, Sept. 29, at Raccoon River Park. Proceeds from the race fund an annual retreat for families of Iowa fallen service members that provides the families with useful resources and support, and facilitates a peer network for the participants. The retreat is held the same weekend as the Remembrance Run.
