UPDATE: Valley West Drive is Now Open
West Des Moines police said in bulletin issued at 1 p.m. that area would remain closed for at least two hours.
West Des Moines Police said that Valley West Drive has reopened from Woodland Avenue to Ashworth Road after being closed due to a construction accident.

Valley West Drive in West Des Moines from Woodland Avenue to Ashworth Road will be closed for at least two hours due to a stuck semi-tractor trailer carrying a large piece of construction material at the intersection of Valley West Dr. and Sylvania Drive on the east side of Valley High School.

Woodland Avenueand Ashworth Road are open for east and west bound traffic through the intersections at Valley West Dr.
