Shiara will introduce students to three different folk dances during this workshop. These will include Tunisian, Kheleegy and Dabke. Cultural information, as well as, short dance combinations will be shared for each specific dance style. Please bring a three yard rectangular veil and a simple hip scarf with you to class (some items will be available for loan). Previous experience with Arabic dance may be helpful, but is not required). Course taught by Shiara/Lisa Rich-McKelvey. Register for both of Shiara’s workshops and pay only $60.
