Mac Miller

Malcolm “Mac Miller” McCormick is a rising star in the hip hop community and rapidly becoming a household name. At 19-years-old, this MC has gone from a local sensation to selling out venues across the United States. A multi-talented musician with a distinct Golden Era delivery, a great ear for instrumentals, and a positive message, Mac has been focused on paving his own path in music. Musically gifted, Mac had taught himself to play piano, drums, guitar and bass by the age of six. Influenced by artists such as Big L, Lauryn Hill, The Beastie Boys, Outkast, and A Tribe Called Quest, he began cultivating his own art of rhyme and started to develop a reputation for delivering jaw-dropping freestyles in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA.

By 2009 Mac had released his first two recording projects, “The Jukebox” and “The High Life,” generating a buzz both in the streets and across the Internet. By 2010, Mac’s musical abilities became undeniable. After signing with independent record label Rostrum Records, Mac released his debut album K.I.D.S. The album, which features his songs, “Knock Knock” and “Nikes On My Feet,” quickly grew in popularity with his fans on iTunes and on YouTube, where his videos have received over 20 million views. With Mac’s recent successes he has received acclaim from his large fan base as well as industry publications. His music is a mainstay on popular Hip Hop sites such as Nahright, Rapradar, and TheSmokingSection. Mac was also featured in XXL Magazine’s coveted Show and Prove section, and has been called “The Steel City’s Newest Rap Posterboy,” by Complex Magazine. In 2011, Mac’s star will continue to rise, with his widely popular “Incredibly Dope Tour,” and the release of his highly anticipated album, Best Day Ever. With the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette describing his music as, “Catching the Nation by Storm,” few can argue with The Source: “The sky is the limit for this Pittsburgh native.”

Casey "Casey Veggies" Jones may be young but he definitely knows the value of prioritizing. Although this 90’s baby (born July 18, 1993) came into high school with hoop dreams, playing shooting guard for Inglewood High School's Sentinels, the L.A. native soon realized that in pursuing basketball he was really just sleeping on another talent - rapping. Back in ninth grade, the young MC had been recording songs and posting them on his Myspace page just for fun. After receiving positive feedback on a few of the tracks, Veggies began to re-evaluate his relationship with music.

THE COME UP

After years of working closely together crafting Hip-Hop that can only be found in Pittsburgh, Franchise and Vinny Radio have created their first collaborative EP produced entirely by producer and engineer Big Jerm entitled In Good Hands. The project is put together in a way that showcases Jerm’s production featuring instrumental interludes throughout. All this combined with Fran and Vinny’s new yet classic wordplay creates a magical combination.
