After strolling through the regular Thursday night Farmer's Market, join the Historic Valley Junction Foudnation for a Watermelon Feast in Railroad Park, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The first 300 people in the park will get a free slice of watermelon.
Stay for the seed-spitting contest. The first 10 people to sign up in each category (juniors, men and women) will compet for gift certificates to Tallgrass Grocery Co-op and Valley Junction merchants.
