“We’re excited to implement the Walking School Bus and create safe situations for more of our students to walk to and from school,” said Fairmeadows Principal Carol Seid.
Fairmeadows will be implementing the Walking School Bus, a group of children who walk to school together under the supervision of a trained adult leader, this spring. The program promotes good health, a cleaner environment and reduced traffic around school.

All of the adult leaders must be trained and certified before they are able to lead a Walking School Bus route. Each route is designed with safety in mind:
• Walk stops are close to student’s homes
• Students are dropped off at the school door
