Fall Art Gallery Night Showcases Seven Valley Junction Businesses

Many Valley Junction businesses and restaurants will be open for extended hours.

Friday, Oct. 11, is Historic Valley Junction’s Fall Gallery Night.

Seven galleries will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. featuring new artwork by regional, national, and international artists. This event is free and open to the public.

In addition to the galleries, many other Valley Junction shops and restaurants are open extended hours for the event. The Theatrical Shop will have some special characters on hand for the event as well.

In its 18th year, Gallery Night continues to grow as a popular community event. It is one of the largest merchant events in Historic Valley Junction and a terrific opportunity to rediscover this eclectic and lively shopping district.

The galleries of Historic Valley Junction offer original artwork, custom jewelry, ceramics, glass, furniture, folk art, and fine art reproductions, as well as many other one-of-a-kind objects. Gallery Night supports many locally owned businesses and showcases the community of Historic Valley Junction.

2AU Limited features one-of-a-kind, fine jewelry, accessories, and contemporary art by international and local artists. 2AU offers unique, designer jewelry created in their studio or personalized design with Ann Au to create stunning wearable art made from precious and semi-precious materials.

Alexander’s Photo is brand new to Valley Junction and will showcase the ART of photography featuring inspiring works of local artists and travelers such as Alan Jacobs, Dennis Atherton and the Magruders. Hear their stories and participate in an interactive art project.

AOK Antiques/Atomicblond Mid Century Modern Gallery Loft specializes in art, sculpture, lighting, turn of the century oak, jukeboxes, slot machines, vintage advertising signs, toys, jewelry, architecturally designed furniture, Scandinavian design.

Kavanaugh Art Gallery is family owned and operated, offering original artwork, sculpture and signed and numbered prints, from both deceased and living artists. Quality framing done on-site.

Light the Earth, where earth’s elements of stone, wood and metals are combined to create unique one-of-a-kind stone artistry including hand-crafted stone lamps, iron/stone furniture, garden ornaments, stone oil lamps, stone and silver jewelry and much more. New work by Sharon Booma, Karen Chesterman and Peter Feldstein will be on display

Olson-Larsen Galleries, a contemporary gallery representing regional artists. Olson-Larsen Galleries serves the business community, collector and homeowner and specialize in museum quality framing.

Eyebeads and Gemstones features uniquely designed jewelry by Mary Jane Long using gemstones from around the world and a variety of African collectible art.

In addition to the galleries that make up the Historic Valley Junction Art Association, eleven major sponsors and fourteen supporting merchants make Gallery Night possible.

Historic Valley Junction is six square blocks of antique and specialty shops, art and craft galleries, fashion boutiques, hair salons, service businesses, and restaurants.
