Residents can safely clean out their medicine cabinets by dropping off unwanted prescription drugs Saturday at the .
The Drug Enforcement Administration Drug Drop will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There is no cost to drop off medications, according to a news release on the city's website.
Officers from the West Des Moines Police Department will be on hand in the front parking lot of the police station at 250 Mills Civic Parkway to collect prescription medications from the public.
