Followup: The Taps are Open, Beer is Flowing at New Nanobrewery
West Des Moines area friends are making big dreams come true by thinking small.

Late last year, Patch told you about an enterprising group of West Des Moines and central Iowa friends who grabbed their a piece of one of the fastest-growing industries in America with their nanobrewery, 515 Brewing Company.
The taproom is now open and the beer is flowing. The beer parlor is open for its regular hours Thursday-Sunday, but has a couple of big dates coming up.
The grand opening celebration is planned for 3-7 p.m. Saturday, March 23. Free T-shirts will go to the first 50 people in the door, door prizes will be offered every hour, brewery tours will be offered and food will be available for purchase from Tacopocalypse.

The official ribbon cutting ceremony by the Clive Chamber of Commerce will be held the day before, on Friday, March 22, from 4 to 6 p.m.
The brewery features a three-barrel brewing system on location and a tasting room offering beer by the glass. The inventory rotates regularly, so patrons can expect a new combination of beers on tap every time they walk through the door.
