Food Waste Reduction Workshop

The Iowa Waste Reduction Center is hosting a food waste reduction workshop on October 30 at the Des Moines Public Library. This one-day workshop will explore food waste issues and the methods to reduce and divert it from the landfill. Attendee will have the opportunity to listen to presentations and discussions from regional experts such as Aubrey Martinez, Director from Eat Greater Des Moines at the Iowa Food Systems Council and Shelly Codner, Area 2 Representative from the Iowa Waste Exchange. IWRC specialists will also speak as well as a panel of representatives from area organizations and businesses.
