Gabby Douglas, U.S. Women’s Gymnastics Teammates in Des Moines Oct. 12

West Des Moines-trained gymnast Gabby Douglas stole your heart as she soared to Olympic gold in the London two months ago.

Expect her to seal it when she and other members of the gold-medal winning U.S. Women’s Olympic team come to Des Moines as part of the 2012 Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions Oct. 12 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

Joining Douglas, who trained at Chow’s Gymnastics and Dance Institute, are gold-medal teammates Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross and Jordyn Wieber. Also headlining the tour are 2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin and silver medalists Chellsie Memmel and Alicia Sacramone from the same team are also part of the tour.
