Get Your Volunteer On at West Des Moines A-MAY-Zing Days

Looking for a volunteer opportunity? The Historic Valley Junction Foundation in West Des Moines has you covered.

The foundation is looking for volunteers the first and last month of May to staff events during the annual A-MAY-Zing Days celebration in Valley Junction.

Volunteers are needed for the following events:

CINCO de MAY – SATURDAY, MAY 4

• 8am – Noon – Event set-up
• Noon – 10pm – Beverage Garden
• Noon – 10pm - ID/Wrist Band
• 10pm - ???  - Event tear-down
• Noon – 7pm – Junction Wear tent

SMOKIN’ in the JUNCTION – SATURDAY, MAY 25

• 8am – Noon – Event set-up
• Noon – 10pm – Beverage Garden
• Noon – 10pm – ID Band/Ticket Sales
• Noon – 10pm – Junction Wear tent

SMOKIN’ in the JUNCTION - SUNDAY, MAY 26

• 10am – Noon – Event set-up
• Noon – 9pm – Beverage Garden
• Noon – 9pm - ID/Wrist Band
• 9 – Midnight?  - Event tear-down
• Noon – 9pm – Junction Wear tent

The sixth annual A-MAY-Zing Days is a month-long celebration recognizing individuals, organizations and activities that make West Des Moines a great place to live, work and play.

The calendar of events showcases annual favorites and also welcomes new events like the Bicycle Jamboree, Tech Brew and Raccoon River Cache Bash. We conclude our annual celebration with Smokin’ in the Junction, two great days of barbecue and free live music in Historic Valley Junction.
