Grab a Slice at Papa Lacona's, Now Open in West Des Moines

Papa Lacona's restaurant has opened a new location in West Des Moines.

The eatery, located at 860 First St., is owned by Charles Lacona Jr., according to the Des Moines Register. Lacona named the restaurant after his late father Charles Lacona Sr., who opened Mama Lacona’s restaurant in Des Moines in 1957.

Lacona’s brother Jim operates Mama Lacona’s in Urbandale, the article said.

The building housing the West Des Moines location most recently housed Scooter's Coffee shop. It's tucked between True Value Hardware and Long John Silvers.
