Have You Seen This Suspect in Credit Card Theft?

Police say a man broken into an SUV parked at at West Des Moines fitness center, stole a credit card and rang up charges. A $1,000 reward is being offered.

West Des Moines Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they believe broke into a vehicle and used a credit card taken from the SUV at numerous businesses.

According to a news release from police spokesman Lt. Jim Barrett, surveillance photos show a man believed to be using a credit card stolen from a vehicle that was burglarized while it was parked June 19 at a West Des Moines fitness center.  The victim’s credit card was immediately used at numerous businesses on the south side of Des Moines, police said.

The suspect is described as being a white man with brown hair and tattoos on his left and right forearm.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Polk County Crime Stoppers at (515) 223-1400.

Polk County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) involved in this incident.
