Weekend Heist May Result in Scanty Supplies of Sexy Unmentionables

West Des Moines police are looking for two women who allegedly relieved store's drawers of women's drawers.

It wasn’t your granny’s panties that West Des Moines police said were emptied from three drawers at a local lingerie store Sunday.

Rather, two women are suspected of helping themselves to 120 pairs of thong and hip-hugger panties shortly after the Victoria’s Secret store at Valley West Mall opened about noon Saturday.

Officer Blain Brinkmeyer said the two women concealed the underwear in large purses and fled the store before clerks could stop them.

The panties were valued at $1,500.

The lingerie heist may have been captured on surveillance video, according to the report.

The suspects are described as African-Americans between the ages of 25-35 and each standing about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. Both were wearing form-fitting clothing, according to the report.
