Sticks Gallery in West Glen Town Center was chosen as the site for Thursday's "2013 Google eCity of Iowa" award because as an example of a small business that has grown its customer base online.
Rachel Eubanks, vIce president of sales and marketing for the company that produces object art, furniture and accessories, said the gallery now does about 95 percent of its sales on the Internet.
West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce President Chris Voggesser credited the city with providing technology infrastructure that small businesses need to extend their reach.
